A short sale hardship letter is perhaps the most important letter any homeowner will ever write. The letter of hardship allows borrowers to present the circumstances that caused them to become delinquent on their mortgage note. When writing a short sale hardship letter, it is important to remember the letter will be read by a human being. Banks employ loss mitigators to work as mediators between borrowers and lenders. Although loss mitigators do not make the decision to approve or disapprove a short sale request, they do have considerable input. The words and emotions expressed within the hardship letter can sway the loss mitigator to help borrowers obtain short sale approval. This is not to say...

For any child that has spend the greater part of their lives at home, the process of going to daycare for the first time can be very difficult on them. One of the major deciding factors can be the way the people at the care place act, so it is extremely essential to pick the right one. If at all feasible, it may be easiest to place the child with someone they are already familiar with, either a family member or friend. When placement with a family or friend is not an option, parents should not worry because they can make use of many other resources. One way to help make your choice about daycare easier is to simply ask around for the opinions of your friends who also have children. This way...

Every child should be taught respect, manners, and the importance of education. I feel that respect should be taught because with most people, respect goes a long way. Showing respect towards people shows them that you were brought up in a good household by a good father and/or mother. I would also have to inform them that you have to show respect to get respect. Even though most people would still show respect when disrespected, nobody deserves to be disrespected. When you disrespect someone, it lead to conflict, and no conflict is not good conflict. Teaching a child to use manners is just as important as teaching them to show respect. If you want your child to use manners, then you should use...

Many cities are becoming more dog friendly and adding dog parks and other opportunities for your four-legged kids to play with others. Pet resorts, too, often offer doggie daycare programs which provide the opportunity for your dogs to engage in group play in a more controlled and supervised setting. Not all dogs, however, are good candidates for group play. Here are a few tips to give you some guidance as to whether your fur-kid will "play well with the other kids"...and will enjoy the experience! Is your dog spayed or neutered? Many parents struggle over the issue of whether or not to send their child to daycare. Some feel guilty that they are sending their children to be "baby-sat" by strangers just because they need to go to work. However, this need not be the case. Daycare programs actually provide many benefits to your child to help them grow happily and healthily. The first few years of a child's life are known as the formative years because at this time children are capable of absorbing vast amounts of knowledge that help develop their intellectual abilities and shape their personalities. A daycare provides an accommodating facility and trained professionals that can help direct your child's early development, by...

Are you interested to put up a day care center using grants? Well, the crucial thing here is true passion and you should not see it as an opportunity to start a business. One of the greatest gifts my husband and I gave ourselves was enrolling our children in a Montessori school while they were toddlers. We quickly learned that even as young as 14 months, children are capable of learning how to care for themselves and be an active participant in family life. In fact, they may even express in words and actions, "Help me do it by myself!" By adapting our household environment to meet our oldest son's needs, we noticed that he was more content and acted out less. We also benefitted because our son progressively became more self-sufficient in the home. Here is a list of 10 simple changes you can make in your home to support your toddler's independence. 1. Ask the teacher to tell you -- in detail -- what she or he perceives as your son's strengths and weaknesses. If there have been assessments, ask to see the results. Then talk again, in detail, about a plan that you and the teacher can follow to help turn the weaknesses into strengths. Consider, for instance, his social skills. That's an area in which many boys lag behind girls, and it can keep them from being ready for first grade. If your son isn't doing well at skills like taking turns, sharing, and cooperating, you can work on the skills at home, inviting other children to play, observing your son's...

The preschool environment is designed to educate young children prior to the age of five - when most children begin kindergarten. Preschool is an optional learning experience; some preschool programs are offered through the public school district, but in most cases preschool is offered privately - either in a non-denominational setting or through a religious institution. Because preschool meets the needs of young children, preschool learning differs quite a bit from the learning environment offered at the time of elementary school. Research has shown that children of this age are especially conducive to learning; their brains are like sponges picking up concepts through the use of all of their...

re to educate our country’s most disadvantaged students is the most glaring and abiding social and moral problem of the United States. For nearly 20 years, our nation has worked to improve our schools and student achievement levels. The No Child Left Behind (NCLB) Act was to be the answer to this dilemma by holding all schools accountable for student performance using high-stakes testing. The error in thinking is the belief that the NCLB test ratings are fair and accurate. The system does not factor out the disadvantages and/or advantages of wealth and demographics, creating an inequity in the rating of schools. Low-income schools must provide programs, such as preschool, tutoring, remedial...

By the late 19th century, educational debates were still echoing on "who was to be educated?" and "how this education was to be carried out?" Such philosophers as John Dewey and (closer to us) Jean Piaget understood that "all knowledge has a special origin and the interests of the child are the primary source of learning" (Spring 1989). The same author said that after the Civil War black leaders, particularly W.E. Dubois and Booker T. Washington debated not the importance of schooling but the kind of education for blacks. The latter, considered by many blacks as a traitor, would acquiesce with the 1895 Plessy v. Ferguson decision that said under segregation schools can be separated and remained...

It doesn't matter whether you are sending your child off to college for the first time, or your two year old is starting a two-day preschool program, a new school year is just around the corner. Some children love school, while others dread it. Growing up, I was one of those weird kids that loved school. Every year at about this time, my mother would take me school shopping for new clothes and school supplies. I don't know if it was the shopping I loved, or the anticipation of a new school year. In my own home growing up and in our family today, we take our education seriously.
